In 16-pin SOIC package, NCP1603 combines PFC controller chip and PWM control chip to help meet requirements for PFC and standby power consumption in ac/dc power supplies. It operates in voltage-mode, features programmable switching frequency for Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) operation, and can synchronize PWM and PFC operation for max noise immunity. Under light load conditions, product disables PFC function, saving 200 mW of power.
