QBE, Zurich and Norwich Union have received confirmation that a landmark test case for industrial deafness, which could see claims rise dramatically, is now set to go ahead.
Following a County Court hearing at Nottingham earlier this month, solicitor Wake Smith has been appointed as one of the lead solicitors in the fight against major multinational companies. It claims workers have become deaf due to potentially unacceptable levels of noise in textile, weaving and steel factories.
