One of the UK's leading brokers has told insurers it will have to exclude them from its motor insurance panel if they remove 'driving other cars' cover.
AA Insurance Services said omitting the benefit would harm honest motorists.
The broker insisted all AA policies would continue to include the add-on, even if insurers on its panel want it removed.
An AA spokesman added: "The cover needs clarification to stop people abusing it. The public needs education but removing the cover would mean people driving uninsured unwittingly."
So far, only Norwich Union has confirmed that it will remove the cover - on its direct policies to begin with - by the end of the year. However, NU, which is likely to roll out the changes across its distribution lines eventually, said it ...
