Sep. 1--Business competition takes many forms, among them price-cutting, which can hurt companies and also affect the quality of products and services offered to the public. The world of law, it turns out, has not been immune to price wars.
Competition among local law firms has increased as the number of new firms emerging outstrips the amount of new business available, according to Charin Satchayan, a partner with the law firm LS Horizon.
"It's a situation in which everyone is after the same piece of cake while the overall business in the country isn't as promising as expected," he said.
