Havana, 29 August: International terrorist Luis Posada Carriles will appear in court on Monday [29 August] in El Paso, Texas before Immigration Judge William L. Abbott.

Posada is an explosives expert who worked many years as a CIA operative. He is seeking asylum in the US while the Venezuelan government is demanding his extradition to face charges for masterminding the 1976 bombing of a Cuban airliner that killed 73 persons.
