A four-man gang that specialised in stealing four-wheel drives has been jailed.

The four Syrian thieves who were identified as A.A., 27, a worker, N.M., 25, an electronics technician, Z.A., 30, a painter and T.A., 35, a mechanic, will each have to serve six months in jail. They will be deported soon after serving their jail terms.

The Dubai public prosecution department charged all the gang members with theft.

It was heard that a Saudi, identified as A.M., told police that he had parked his four-wheel drive in front of a hotel in Deira at about 2am.
