THE Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has summoned four major bus operators to appear before it next month and explain why they should not be punished for their buses' continued involvement in fatal accidents in the country.

RTSA acting director Winston Mwandila who did not reveal the names of the affected operators, said they would appear before the agency on September 6 and 7.

Speaking at a Press briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Mwandila said letters to that effect were yesterday delivered to all the affected operators and urged them to cooperate in the interest of road safety.
