Valuable intelligence about disqualified drivers and criminals driving shared 'pool' vehicles was gathered when police in Saltash staged Operation Bulge yesterday afternoon.

A total of 15 officers stopped vehicles in North Road and Callington Road, and targeted offenders on the Gilston Road industrial estate.

During the 90-minute operation, 48 vehicles were stopped and 25 drivers given written notices to produce their documents at a police station.
