Aug. 24--The Educational Foundation of Lake County needs volunteers for APPLE-MART, a school-supply store for Lake County teachers, scheduled to open in mid-September. The store is at the former Dabney Elementary School, Building 3, 910 E. Dixie Ave., Leesburg, which also houses the educational foundation.

Volunteers are needed to work in the store and to solicit donations.

Each principal will be given a weekly pass, which can be used as a reward program for a teacher to shop for free classroom supplies. First-year teachers will have unlimited use of the store.
