The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has agreed to provide financial assistance for a feasibility study in the first phase of the first elevated railway system in Hanoi, according to the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VRC).

The Japanese financial assistance will provide an opportunity for the railway service to request funding from the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), said the Management Board of Railway Projects.
