Officer wins compo A senior air force officer removed from his post is to receive compensation from the Australian Defence Force. But the size of the pay-out awarded to former Air Vice Marshal Peter Criss will remain secret. Mr Criss was removed from his post as air commander in 1999 but the reasons for his dismissal have never been made public. In a statement issued last night, the ADF said the mediation process had finished and Mr Criss would be awarded compensation. The statement, however, falls short of the apology Mr Criss was seeking.
