Mytob worms into virus top spot

The number of viruses affecting Irish PC-users fell during July, according to new statistics from IE Internet. Data from the email and hosting provider indicates that the rate of infections among its 10,000 customers fell to 9.3% compared to June's record high of almost 15.71%. The most prevalent virus strain detected was the Mytob. FK worm, which works by tricking the user into opening an attachment purporting to be an e-mail sent from their Internet service provider.
