Aug. 17--Delta Air Lines has agreed to sell its regional carrier, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, to SkyWest Inc. for $425 million in cash. ASA is the regional carrier that provides service between Wilmington to Atlanta and Cincinnati.
SkyWest will continue to serve Delta customers under a new 15-year Delta Connection agreement, according to a press release issued by the airline.
In a telephone interview Tuesday, Mike Kraupp, vice president for finance at SkyWest, said Wilmington fliers should not notice a difference in service.
