Better Hair
Fine Condition
Fine Condition the flat roots and split ends common to fine hair can leave women divided over their choice of shampoo and conditioner -- volumizing formulas help roots but not ends, and moisturizing ones do the opposite. Now two companies are attacking the problem head on. The L'Oreal Professionnel Expert Volume Extreme and Aussie Dual Per- sonality Root Cleanser + Tip Mender shampoos contain hair-bulking ingredients that also deliver light hydration, while their conditioners' positively charged molecules cling only to negatively charged damaged areas. Ionic conditioning technology isn't new, say scientists, but it is effective. "With a volumizing shampoo that doesn't overdry hair, the two can reduce that tacky feeling fine-haired women dread," says cosmetics chemist R. Randall Wickett. Bottom Line: The formulas gave our usually limp hair great body that stayed soft all day and into the night.
