Austria's OMV has signed an agreement with Ukraine's state-owned Naftogaz Ukrainy and its offshore exploration subsidiary Chornomornaftogaz to bid for licences in the Black Sea. OMV is eager to expand its upstream portfolio in central and eastern Europe and the FSU. The Austrian firm boosted production to the equivalent of around 345,000 b/d of oil and gas last year when it took control of Romania's Petrom, and has also been looking at opportunities …
