BEIJING, Aug 11 Asia Pulse - China's telecommunications industry developed steadily in the first half of 2005 and it is seeking new growth point, according to an analytical report.

Growth of business revenue slows

In the first half of 2005, China's telecommunications industry posted a 10.7% year-on-year growth in business revenue, the lowest in recent years.

Experts here attributed the growth slide to the over-development of customers, whose consumption level is low. At present, the total number of China's phone subscribers topped 700 million and that of Internet users topped 100 million. …
