Simon Cowell is being sued by two TV producers who claim he ripped off their idea for his new US show, Million Dollar Idea.

The Pop Idol judge, who runs his own production company, Simcow, is making Million Dollar Idea for the ABC network.

The Apprentice-style show will feature nine entrepreneurs competing for a $1m top prize.

But Jean Golden and Todd Walker claim he stole the idea from their own show, also called Million Dollar Idea, which airs on 125 TV stations in the US.

The pair filed a lawsuit in the federal court today, naming Cowell, ABC, and production and distribution company Fremantle Media, and …
