WASHINGTON -- American Pharmacists Association member Linda Garrelts MacLean testified this week before before the United States House of Representatives' Small Business Committee and presented the APhA's position on pharmacists' conscience clause issues. The APhA's current policy supports the right of a pharmacist to opt out of dispensing a prescription or providing a service for personal reasons and also supports the establishment of systems to ensure patient access to appropriate health care.
