The death of some trends can seem like a mercy killing (remember stiletto Timberlands and visible thongs?). But memories are short. We asked celebrities which trend they'd like to revive at the Vanity Fair party at Mortons, the IFP Independent Spirit Awards, and a launch party for M.A.C. Viva Glam V Lipstick at Christie's.

"Oh, I loved everything by Halston," proclaimed Liza Minnelli, the late designer's friend. Some looked further into the past, with Maggie Gyllenhaal favoring the 1940s and Fantasia Barrino swooning over "1930s hair."
