Aug. 4--The Government Housing Bank will sell two lots of non-performing loans worth 7.77 billion baht to investors through a closed bid in October.

"We have received approval from the Finance Ministry to sell non-performing loans with a book value of up to 39.62 billion baht," said GHB president Khan Prachuapmoh. "We will split the assets into six tranches, and will sell the first two lots comprising the assets with the highest potential."

The assets in the first tranche are housing loans with collateral, ranging from houses, townhouses, condominiums and undeveloped land plots in both Bangkok and the provinces. ...
