Aug. 4--Amdocs Ltd. said Wednesday that it will work with Alcatel SA to provide management solutions for companies that want to offer television over high-speed Internet connections.

The companies will integrate Amdocs' Internet-protocol convergence solution for IPTV with Alcatel's IPTV offerings to help companies provide bundled IPTV, data and voice services. Then they'll sell and market services and products jointly.

The joint project will be used to support SBC Communications Inc.'s Project Lightspeed, an effort to bring interactive television to customers over their high-speed Internet connections.
