Aug. 3--Aberdeen Asset Management will launch its foreign investment fund (FIF) from next Wednesday to Aug 31, a $10-million fund investing in Asian equity assets.
Deputy chief executive Robert Penazola said the fund would give Thai investors a good opportunity to improve returns and diversify risk away from the local market.
The new open-ended Aberdeen Asia Pacific Equity Fund will invest all assets in the $127-million Aberdeen Pacific Equity Fund, based in Singapore, which has generated average annual returns of 12.8 percent since it was established in 1997.
