PRISTINA, Kosovo, July 31 (CTK) - The Czech Republic today officially accepted the military command in central Kosovo for one year.

Along with the monitoring of the situation alongside the border with Serbia, the Czech soldiers in the KFOR mission will also supervise the work of 1,500 of their counterparts from another five European countries.

"This is proof of our allies' confidence in the preparedness and capabilities of the Czech army," Karel Kuehnl said at the ceremony in the headquarters of the International Brigade Centre at the base in Camp Ville.
