WilsonSchanzer Inc., San Antonio's fourth-largest commercial real estate company, is selling all of its local commercial portfolio except apartment properties to The Bonner Group Inc.

While particulars of the deal still are "up in the air," about seven WilsonSchanzer employees will move to the Bonner company Feb. 1, says Blake M. Bonner, president of The Bonner Group. The fledgling Bonner firm, headquartered at Energy Plaza, is a full-service commercial real estate company that specializes in management and leasing but also is active in brokerage. Bonner formerly was senior vice president and head of the local office of Houston-based Westlake Realty Corp.

"This gives us a significant presence in San Antonio," Bonner states. "This was an opportunity to take on a multiple-property portfolio in one fell swoop rather than pick properties up one at a time."
