Aug. 2--Local tourism authorities pledged to help tourists arrange refunds and book alternative travel plans following the collapse of Siam Cruise, the operator of the Andaman Princess cruise ship.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Association of Domestic Travel (ADT) said they would help passengers left stranded after Siam Cruise announced it was halting operations. On Sunday, more than 50 people filed complaints with the police accusing Siam Cruise of fraud.
