Aug. 2--TOT Plc says it will pay the licensing, spectrum and numbering fees, as well as the cost of the implementing the universal service obligation (USO) out of its own pocket, as soon as it is granted three types of licences from the National Telecommunications Commission on Thursday.
The assurance by TOT president Teeravit Charuwat came as private operators expressed concern that they might have to shoulder the burden as long as they continued to operate under concessions from TOT and its state enterprise sibling, CAT telecom.
