Aug. 2--Polyplex (Thailand) Plc, a listed packaging company, expects to meet or exceed the market consensus of its earnings for the fiscal year ending in March 2006, despite the likelihood of volatile market conditions over the next few quarters.

"Even in the worst-case scenario, we are expecting our profits for the fiscal year to be in line with market projections at around 850 million to one billion baht," said Manish Gupta, a director and the chief financial officer of the company.

For fiscal 2005 ending on March 31, the company reported a net profit of 950 million baht against 721 million baht the previous year.
