Gasohol sales poised to double.

Aug. 2--Bangchak Petroleum Plc expects to almost double sales volume of gasohol E-10, a blend of 10 percent ethanol and 90 percent gasoline, to 40 million litres per month by the end of the year from 22 million litres last month.
Gasohol sales are poised for major growth now that the government has decreed that premium petrol will be phased out by the end of 2007, according to Manoon Siriwan, executive vice-president for marketing at Bangchak.
He said the main challenge facing marketers was that motorists remained concerned about how gasohol affected both engine performance and engine life.
