Aug. 1--Steel are prices in the global market are expected to rise over the next few months on the back of increased demand, production cuts and dwindling stocks in big user locations, notably the United States and the European Union.
Korrakod Padungjitt, secretary-general of Thailand Iron and Steel Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries, said the expected rise in prices was discussed recently at a meeting with Japan's major steel producers at a forum held in Tokyo.
