Aug. 1--China's and India's drive to develop their respective automobile industries should not derail Thailand's dream of becoming the "Detroit of Asia", experts say.
The recent decisions by Japanese automakers, key players in the industry, to set up production facilities in China should not impede Thailand's effort to be the automobile manufacturing hub of Asia, according to the Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro).
