Combining Light, Radio Waves; Syneron Growing With Skin Treatment Devices.(THE IBD 100)

Many firms sell laser-based gear used to remove unwanted hair, wrinkles, conspicuous leg veins, acne and other skin-related ailments. Syneron has distinguished itself with a patented technology that combines infrared light with bipolar radio frequency waves.
The Israeli firm's systems are sold to dermatologists, plastic surgeons, estheticians and medical spas. Its VelaSmooth device, combined with suction, eliminates cellulite, which tends to appear on the hips and buttocks. Various fashion and health magazines have recently written articles on cellulite, implying that awareness of this procedure is expanding.
