CORPORATE LEADERSHIP
No-Confidence Vote
U.S. workers have serious doubts about the leaders of their companies. Only 40% trust top management "to always communicate honestly," and only 38% say leaders "do a good job of explaining important business decisions."
These findings come from Mercer Human Resource Consulting's What's Working survey of employees at 800 organizations.
Mercer finds that two-thirds of workers claim a strong sense of commitment to their organizations. But other results may make senior management sweat a bit:
** When asked whether "senior
management does a good job of confronting issues before they become major problems," only 39% of workers say yes.
