THE PROVINCIAL government of Bulacan is bidding out two bulk water projects worth at least P4.5 billion to meet the growing demand in the province and in Metro Manila.
Provincial administrator Gladys C. Sta. Rita said the Ayala-led Manila Water Co.-which has been eyeing more ventures to expand its business-had expressed interest in one of the projects, the P1.5-billion Bulacan Bulk Water project. The other venture is the DRT Water Project, estimated to cost between P3 billion and P5 billion.
Sta. Rita said the provincial government hopes to bid out this project within the year as part of efforts to fast-track its implementation.
