BIR exec favors lifting of ban on sale of TCCs.

BIR Officer-in-Charge Jose Mario Buag said he would consider lifting the rule barring certain firms to sell their tax credit certificates as he questioned the prudence of prohibiting the sale of TCCs.
In an interview with reporters, Buag said he would push for amendments to certain provisions of the Expanded Value-Added Tax law and its implementing rules and regulations, particularly those on tax credits.
Buag made the statement as he echoed comments raised by some members of the business sector that prohibiting the sale of TCCs or other forms of limiting the exercise of enjoying tax credits were tampering on taxpayers' ...
