BUENAVISTA, Guimaras-The Paraaque Jets bounced back from three straight losses Saturday by crushing the Iloilo Warriors, 81-73, at the Spring Joy gym here.
Veteran Rolly Basilides scored all of the Jets' points in a 7-1 windup to seal the Warriors' doom.
Francis Sanz, who returned to the Warriors after a stint in the PBL, rallied Iloilo within four, 76-72, with a minute left, but Basilides came to the KSK Food Products-backed Jets' rescue.
"It feels good to win again after that forgettable 0-3 Mindanao trip," said Paraaque coach Enrique "Yong" Garcia later.
Over at the packed Valencia City gym in Bukidnon, Mayor Jose Galario Jr.'s Valencia Golden Harvest whipped the Bacchus/Harbour Centre-backed Manila cagers, 86-69.
Nat Cruz, a 6-foot-7 slotman, set the tone for the rout as he scored 17 points, including two triples, on 6-for-6 shooting.
