THE PHILIPPINE Christian U Dolphins try to get back on track against the hopeful San Beda Lions today in a game that will be played against a rather intriguing backdrop-that of NBI agents posted in and out of Cuneta Astrodome.
Koy Banal will try to salvage what he can as the new coach of the Lions at 4 p.m. in the last of four matches kicking off the second round of the NCAA basketball tournament.
The NCAA board sought the assistance of the National Bureau of Investigation to look into alleged "game fixing, point shaving and other gambling forms using the results of the basketball league event."
League chair Fr. Victor Calvo of host Letran, noting that there were already enough reports and observations, said the board turned to the NBI to help weed out suspected game irregularities.
