THE FUTURE of millions of Filipino children under President Macapagal-Arroyo's Bright Child campaign may not be so bright after all, according to militant student groups.

Anak ng Bayan Youth Party Vice President Raymond Palatino yesterday said Ms Arroyo's own education and domestic policies were the biggest stumbling block to the Filipino children's bright future.

Last Friday, the President launched her Bright Child campaign offering a package of interventions on health and nutrition, early education and psycho-social programs aimed at ensuring the optimum growth and development of Filipino children aged 0 to 17 years.
