Kobe offering free pass to lure students to city

KOBE
In advance of the February opening of Kobe Airport, a local government has launched a campaign to attract student excursions to the city, offering programs ranging from jazz performances to the Great Hanshin Earthquake.
The Kobe municipal government has issued a free pass for students on school trips for Nunobiki Herb Park and other popular sightseeing spots.
The city government also plans to invite travel agents in Tokyo, Sapporo, Naha and other cities linked to the airport to spend a night in the city in August in the hope that they will arrange side trips to Kobe for students who visit Kyoto on school excursions.
