Pakistan has imported a total of 12,405,703 kilograms black tea worth Rs 1,140,220,610 from 16 different countries in June 2005 as against 7,047,814 kg black tea worth Rs 645,729,736 imported in May this year.

According to the Pakistan Tea Association, Kenya, as usual, remained main black tea supplier to Pakistan with its more than 67 percent share of total black tea import in Pakistan, which imported 8,352,734 kg tea worth Rs 818,664,224 from this East African country.
