Sameer, 18, will return to Birmingham soon, after a month spent with his grandparents in Lahore.

This is the first time Sameer, born and brought up in Britain, has been 'home' for a prolonged period of time, and both he and his cousins have found the experience bewildering.

Sameer, objected strongly to his cousins watching Indian films, enjoying pop music or the girls going out shopping unescorted.

"I thought they would be practicing Muslims, and they are not," mumbles Sameer, while talking to Gulf News. He believes the bomb attacks in London were a way to fight back …
