Official says Turkey must sell Tuprathorn, Petkim together.

A private sector organization suggested that Turkey should privatize oil refiner Tuprathorn and petrochemical concern Petkim together and sell them to a Turkish consortium backed by foreign firms

"I think they ought to be privatized together," Turkish Sector Associations Federation (SEDEFED) Deputy Chairman Timur Erk told reporters at a press conference in Istanbul

Turkey plans to sell a controlling stake in the refinery concern. Local and foreign groups that are interested in the privatization include the Zorlu Group, Petrol Ofisi, OYAK and Opet, Russia's Repsol, Poland's PKN, India's IOC, Italy's ENI Spa, Austria's OMV …
