The Reliance group consisting of five listed companies-Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Reliance Energy, IPCL, Reliance Capital and Reliance Industrial Infrastructure enjoyed a total market- capitalisation (M-cap) of Rs1,01,971 crore as on 17 Jun 2005. The group, accounting for 5.72 percent of the total M-cap of the Stock Exchange, Mumbai (BSE), stood at the number two position in terms of M-cap ranking.
