With the beginning of school holidays, many families have begun to leave on annual vacations. Many others are still weighing the pros and cons of various holiday options and calculating the costs.

A number of holiday options are currently available. However, the outbound holiday trend in the Gulf has changed since the September 11, 2001, attacks in the United States.

According to market reports and analyses, outbound travel choices for Gulf holidaymakers have narrowed to short breaks and regional destinations, rather than long-haul ones.
