Solvay will increase its chlorine and ethylene di-chloride (EDC) production capacity at its facility in Map Ta Phut from 160,000 tonnes/y to 320,000 tonnes/y. The new EDC capacity is intended for a major feedstock supply for Vinythai's VCM expansion project, which is slated to begin production in Sep 2006.
