Vehicle deliveries rose 8% in the first half of 2005, compared with the corresponding period of 2004, to 71,662, according to a Israel Motor Vehicles Importers Association report based on Department of Motor Vehicles data.
Deliveries of private cars rose 2% to 55,730. Deliveries of commercial vehicles soared 35%, due to regulatory changes, which abolished VAT recognition on purchases of commercial vehicles after June 1.
