A Multi-million pound housing development could soon take shape on the derelict Fenner factory site.

The plans that would breathe new life into the ancient village of Marfleet were unveiled today.

The tiny hamlet in east Hull can trace its origins back to before the Norman conquest, and is recorded as a settlement in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Today, however, the village has all but disappeared after more than a century of industrial development.

Now the clock could be turned back, with proposals for new housing on the derelict Marfleet Lane site, off Hedon Road, once occupied by the former Fenner factory . …
