LANDS state minister Baguma Isoke has blamed the rampant land evictions on the failure of district land boards to exercise their constitutional powers to resolve land disputes.

Citing articles 249 and 241 of the Constitution, Isoke said, "You are the last people in the constitution to settle all the land disputes in your areas of jurisdiction. You are the authority on land issues in your districts and you are constitutional."
