Manama: The $750 million Al Areen Desert Spa and Resort crossed a significant milestone with the following the laying of its foundation and the opening up of an on-site client relations centre (CRC), last month. The foundation stone for the project was laid by Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the governor of the Southern Governorate. Esam Janahi, vice chairman of the board of Al Areen Holding Company said: "The development of Al Areen Desert Spa and Resort has now reached a very essential phase with the opening of the CRC and beginning construction for the Oasis Spa which will proactively promote the project across the region and overseas.
