Jul. 23--Linda Young finds the road work on Prattville's main drag to be ... well, a drag.

Crews are repaving a section of East Main Street near Shady Oak Drive, about a month after the work to widen and improve the stretch was completed. East Main is the prime commuter artery in this commuter-driven town. It gives access to Interstate 65 and the retail areas in East Prattville.

"What's going on? They just finished working on that part of the road not too long ago," Young said, picking up mail at the post office, which is about a block away from the construction zone. "I thought they were done, and now they start all over again." …
