Jubilee CityFest changes on horizon.

Jul. 23--A drop in this year's attendance has Jubilee CityFest officials considering a variety of changes, including moving Montgomery's largest music festival from its traditional Memorial Day weekend.

Organizers also are exploring the possibilities of revamping KidsFest, adding more musical variety to the festival and making improvements to the new site near the Capitol.

Executive Director Marianne McLeod said Jubilee is getting opinions from focus groups about the festival, including whether they would be more likely to come if Jubilee were on a different weekend.

"So far, we have done focus groups with people who attended the festival this year, and they are happy with the festival being on that weekend, but you would almost expect that to be the case," she said. "We won't really know how …
